A Beautiful, Lifelong Task
Sometimes the writing life feels like a set of never-ending tasks.
There is that next blog post to write. That book chapter to revise. That client work to email. That sermon to write.
But this is not a bad thing. In fact, it’s a beautiful thing. It means that we have work to do, that people value us, that we have readers. Most of all, it means that we are doing the daily work.
We have to be careful not to get trapped into destination thinking.
This type of thinking happens whenever we see the writing life as a series of tasks to be finished before we move onto the next thing. This kind of thinking makes us worn out, tired, and cynical.
On this episode, Kent encourages you to stick with your writing and not give up.
